Co-owner with his wife and president of PMC Ltd. (formerly Process Mineralogical Consulting). Geoff graduated as a Minerals Engineering Technologist from Sir Sandford Fleming College – School of Natural Resources in 1987 and received a B.Sc. Second Class –Upper Division Honour’s degree in geology from Birkbeck College, University of London in 2005.

Geoff spent 19 years working at Lakefield Research, now SGS Minerals, initially as a Mineralogical Technician in 1987 and leaving as a Senior Mineralogist in 2006. His experience over that time included managing and undertaking mineralogical projects from a wide range of clients worldwide, especially focusing on process mineralogical applications for liberation.

In 2006 Geoff was employed as a Senior Mineralogist, Process Mineralogy Team Leader at the Technology and Innovation (T&I) facility of Rio Tinto located in Melbourne Australia. His duties included managing the process mineralogy projects at T&I that included QemScan operations as well as optical microscopy for the Rio Tinto business units.

He returned to Canada in 2009 and now owns and operates PMC Ltd. carrying out mineralogical investigations to support mineral processing operations, studies and test work.

Matthew Lane is the Business Development Lead at PMC Labs Ltd., a company specializing in mineral processing and consulting. In his role, Matthew is dedicated to assisting with a wide range of mining projects, from greenfield to brownfield developments. He excels in identifying the most effective mineral processing, mineralogical, and analytical tests for projects globally. His expertise and passion for the mining industry are evident in his commitment to driving innovation and providing comprehensive solutions for mining challenges. Matthew is based in British Columbia, Canada, where PMC Labs is located

Sebastian is a Senior Mineralogist with experience and education covering the advanced characterization of mineralogical data through automated mineralogy (MLA & TIMA systems), process modeling, image analysis, and machine learning, aiming at understanding and optimizing mineral processing operations. His role at PMC is to apply this knowledge and experience to improve the efficiency of ore processing circuits through the advanced characterization of the intrinsic mineral properties that ultimately control the ore behaviour in beneficiation.

Susan Brill MSc.
Project Mineralogist

Susan is a Project Mineralogist at PMC Ltd. with 10 years of experience in Mineralogy. This was gained from working at Mintek, South Africa, on various ore bodies, including PGE, base metal, beach sands, iron ores, Au and Ag, as well as diamonds and kimberlites, for clients in the mining and process engineering (including minerals processing, hydrometallurgical, biometallurgical and pyrometallurgical) fields. Susan has experience with various instrumentation, including SEMs, Automated SEM, EMPA, LA-ICP-MS and FTIR.
